Made a wrong turn,..best wrong turn ever btw.... and discovered the Blue Heron Grille on the edge of the Chesapeake Golf Course. Tired and hungry for lunch and a cold beer we decided to give it a shot. The venue pulled us in but the food will keep us coming back! As we walked in we discussed that our lunch was probably going to be a bit pricey but to our surprise the beers were cheap and the food was super reasonable. Best yet the food was fabulous. We had a crab cake sandwich that reviled the best around, a delicious grilled sour dough turkey sandwich, and fresh cut french fries that stood up to Thrashers in OC. The atmosphere was friendly and the view over the greens was beautiful. Our waitress was great and the food was delivered fast. We were highly impressed and so happy this restaurant is open to the public even though it is situated at the golf course. We are looking forward to returning for another great meal. We highly recommend giving the Blue Heron Grille a try.July 27, 2016
